Lash Extension Care

Day of:

  • Do not wear any eye make up on the day of your appointment. Most makeup products have oil bases and the residue will cause poor retention. Time spent removing make up will take away from application
  • If you are a contact wearer, it is advised to wear glasses to your appointment. There are contact cases and solution that will be made available to you, wearing contacts during the service can result in overly dry eyes.
  • You will be laying on your back with your eyes closed for a minimum of two hours. There are no available modifications to change the service, please prepare for this. 
  • Please refrain from caffeine prior to the appointment, your body’s reaction to caffeine is fluttering eyelids, causing difficulties in the service.
  • The adhesive used is a cyanoacrylate base, if you have issues or allergies to adhesive, or acrylic nails, this service is not recommended.

Please Let Your Artist Know If You:

  • Have recently had eye surgery or any procedure around the eyes.
  • Are experiencing redness, irritation, styes, or eye infections.
  • Have seasonal allergies that are flaring up.
  • Have started any new medications or have experienced changes in your health since your last visit.

 

Post Treatment :

  • Avoid sources of high heat and humidity
  • Avoid waterproof eye make up, kohl or gel liners as this will attach to the base of the lashes, causing unnecessary weight and premature shedding
  • Avoid sleeping face-down if possible.
  • Do Not use cotton products (q-tips, cotton balls/rounds, make up remover wipes) on or around the extensions. The cotton fibers will attach to the extension and rip them out.
  • Please don’t pick, pull or rub your eyes and lashes; this friction will result in poor retention.
  • Do not use an eyelash curler with extensions on.

Daily Lash Care

Clean Your Lashes Every Day

Healthy lashes are clean lashes.

  • Wash your lashes daily using an approved lash cleanser.
  • Use a soft cleansing brush to gently clean along the lash line.
  • Rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Pat dry gently with a clean towel.
  • Finish by drying with a handheld fan if available.

Brush Your Lashes

  • Brush your lashes each morning and after cleansing and drying using a clean mascara wand.
  • Always brush gently from the middle of the lashes toward the tips.
  • Never force the brush through tangled lashes.

 

Maintenance Schedule

To keep your lashes looking full and healthy, we recommend:

  • New Clients: Every 2 weeks until retention has been evaluated.
  • Returning Clients with Excellent Retention: Every 2–3 weeks, as recommended by your artist.

Waiting too long between appointments may require booking a full set instead of a fill.

 

When to Contact Us

Please contact LV Lash & Brow immediately if you experience:

  • Persistent redness lasting longer than 48 hours
  • Significant swelling
  • Severe itching or burning
  • Pain
  • Discharge from the eye
  • Signs of an allergic reaction or infection

Do not attempt to remove your lash extensions yourself if you are experiencing discomfort.
